2MTL 214: "The Almost People" (Smith's a Freaking Genius Edition)
Shorter short podcast: Matt Smith is absolutely fabulous as The Doctor, and "The Almost People" — Yes! "The Almost People"! — is possibly his greatest performance.

I agree with you completely about how deft Smith is playing both Doctors in this episode. It truly is a tour de force. As a long time "Star Trek" fan, I've seen this trope of the "double" or "twin" done pretty poorly on occasion (Star Trek VI leaps to mind), so it was refreshing to see the old motif, in the hands of the right actor, has lots of life left in it.
As always, you put out a gread podcast. I don't know how much work you have to put in to keep them so short and to the point (who was it who wrote, "I would've written a shorter letter, but I didn't have the time?"), but I do appreciate it!
