Friday, September 18th, 20092MTL 48: Mr. Tony Lee's New Doctor Who Comic
Sunday, July 12th, 2009Tony Lee's no stranger to writing Doctor Who comics — case in point — but now he's writing IDW's new ongoing title. I spoke to Tony about the new series, why it's about the Tenth Doctor rather than the Eleventh, and what we can look forward to.
The new comic goes on sale in the U.S. this Wednesday; here's a preview! Also, look for the complete, unedited interview in a special "Time Dilation" edition on that day.
2MTL #25: Meet the Team Behind "The Ten Doctors" Webcomic
Thursday, May 28th, 2009It's done — all 247 pages of it.
Rich Morris has completed his webcomic epic, The Ten Doctors. More than 6,000 unique hits a day and angry e-mails from a former hosting company attest to the fact that Rich's free comic struck a chord with Doctor Who fans.
Meet Rich and his partner in crime, web administration and matrimony Hilary Doda on today's Two-minute Time Lord Podcast. Then if you like what you hear and want more, come back on Sunday for the complete 20-minute interview with Rich and Hilary. It's a lot of fun; don't miss it!
2MTL #15: "The Ten Doctors" Reviewed
Wednesday, April 8th, 2009Back when the webcomic User Friendly was at its peak, there were lots of jokes about the User Friendly Productivity Virus: once people in your company discovered the strip, work would grind to a halt as everyone caught up through the archives.
If you value your productivity and you're a Doctor Who fan, do yourself a favor. Wait until the weekend before you start reading Rich's excellent webcomic, The Ten Doctors. It really is that good, and you'll devour its 255 (and still counting) pages in huge gulps at a time. What would be too fannish to work on television works beautifully well here: No Companion Left Behind.
2MTL #3: Review of Doctor Who: The Forgotten
Tuesday, February 10th, 2009Tony Lee wrote it. Pia Guerra drew a good chunk of it. (If only she could have done more!) IDW published it. And Chip read this six-issue comic book miniseries, and pronounced it good in roughly-120-seconds-not-counting-the-theme.
(Radio Free Skaro interviewed Pia Guerra, only they didn't use a radio. Strange.)
