It was cool to hear you mention Chuck on this episode. I hope he's doing well. It's also comforting to know I'm not the only one who had issues with the 2012 Christmas episode. I just don't think the plot made much sense, and the one word test was pretty cool up until the very contrived final answer.
I'm curious what this "Not We" concept is. I assume it just means people who don't "get" Doctor Who, but maybe there's more to it than that. Either way, I might fall into that category. I confess that I've never seen classic Who, and curiosity and likable characters are about the only reasons I've watched what I have of modern Who.
In fact, I've abandoned DW at least twice out of frustration, once halfway through season 1 and again halfway through season 6, and most of the Tennant episodes I only caught through marathon reruns. Season 7 has been watchable though. I actually liked "A Town Called Mercy" and most aspects of "The Power of Three."
Any theories on what Clara's situation is? Isn't it possible that what we've seen just happened in different timelines? Maybe not. Despite how much DW is about time travel, I've noticed it rarely, if ever, addresses the concept of timelines.
