Hmmm…intriguing idea. It almost sounds like you'd like something along the lines of "Midnight" minus the monster, or "Unicorn and the Wasp" or "Black Orchid" made non-period and non-funny, intentionally or otherwise. In a way, this slot could almost be fulfilled by a story like "Edge of Destruction," which is highly under-rated, in my opinion. Love the podcast–keep it up! Great to hear an American voice discuss Doctor Who.
I'm all for an episode where the Doctor himself is explored, a day in the life, so to speak. Of course, we know he'll still find trouble and being without his technology, it would be interesting to see if he could get himself out of trouble with just his brain.
On a side note – I just discovered your podcast this evening and am already a fan. Hope you have a long and interesting run.
