  1. Disagree.

Too many plot holes, too much not going on, too little characterization that actually does something.

Wasn't intelligent. Just stupid and obvious.

    2/10.

  2. Nah, the best Moffat series ever is still the first, Matt Smith's inaugural year in 2010. But Second Best Moffat Series Ever? Absolutely. And this may well be one of the Best 2MTLs Ever! Moffat = Missy? Agreed. (Wish I'd thought of that!) I also second your call for less "meta," as fun as it can be. I sort of thought we were going to get that when Matt Smith's Doctor decided to slink back into the shadows… and then when he saved Gallifrey in the 50th Anniversary Special… and then when he regenerated into Peter Capaldi. It's kind of like going to "Star Trek Into Darkness" and discovering, "Hey, kids, the origin story was such fun in '09, let's do it all over again! We'll start that five year mission next time, promise!"

Oh, well. Great comments, as always!

  3. The Big Bang is the best Moffat finale, but this one very good too. Here's how I'd rank the finales (out of 5 stars):

Parting of the Ways — 4
    Doomsday — 4
    The Big Bang — 4
    Death in Heaven — 4
The Wedding of River Song — 3
The Last of the Time Lords — 2
The Name of the Doctor — 2
    Journey's End — 0 (yes, it's that bad; not even a 1)
