I was bothered by the presence of the RTD era Daleks, especially after the new Dalek Paradigm saw them as "unclean" and exterminated them. But I read that the production team now describes the Dalek Paradigm as an elite level of Daleks, so you can assume they just sit at higher levels in the hierarchy. I guess the Red Drones are more of field commanders and the RTD/gold casing Daleks are the low-level solider now. Just goes against what was seen in the 'City of the Dalek' game.
Actually, the Master was tried and convicted on Skaro at the very beginning of the Doctor Who Movie with the 8th Doctor. So Skaro was somehow brought back between the 7th and 8th Doctors.
